Q. Do you offer feminized auto flower seeds?
A. Yes! We only sell feminized auto flower seeds. If you are looking for regular auto flower seeds (non-feminized) please contact us and we may be able to source them for you.
Q. How long do auto flower seeds last before I need to plant them?
A. Auto flower seeds can last for decades if stored properly. The best way to store them is in a vacuum sealed bag, in a freezer, with no light. In this situation they can last for literally decades. In order for a seed to germinate it needs two things: moisture and warm air, ideally 70-90 degrees Fahrenheit. Seeds that were decades old have been found buried several feet in the ground where they never reached optimal temperature and moisture. This can happen on farms that till their soil really deep and if there are any seeds in the soil at the time the soil is tilled, they will get flipped several feet in the ground. Sometimes you can see farms that flip the soil and the seeds don’t get buried that deep and they do end up sprouting the next year automatically. You can see this quite often in soybean fields where you will see a bunch of corn growing randomly in the field because the farmer grew corn the year before and the seeds fell, lay dormant through the winter, and started growing the next year amongst the soybeans.
Q. Where do your auto flower seeds come from?
A. All of our seeds are sourced from licensed GMP (good manufacturing process) facilities in California.
Q. Is it easy to grow auto flower seeds?
A. Absolutely! They are the easiest types of seeds to grow because they do not require any specific light schedule. Some people that grow auto flower seeds indoors actually use 24 hours of light to try and produce more yield, but many people theorize that the plant(s) need time to rest and recover (i.e., sleep).
Q. Is the potency of the flower from auto flower seeds the same as regular seeds?
A. The potency of auto flower seeds is slightly less of that from regular seeds, but it’s not far off. Typical outdoor potency ranges from 14-18% and indoor can range from 24-28%. It’s still quite high.
Q. Are cannabis seeds legal to ship in the U.S.?
A. We are not attorneys and this is not legal advice, but from our research, yes you can legally buy, sell, and ship cannabis seeds within the U.S.. As of 2022 you can now legally ship cannabis seeds within the U.S. as long as the THC content is less than 0.3%. Federally, a significant change occurred with the 2018 Farm Bill, which legalized hemp—defined as any cannabis plant with less than 0.3% THC. This reclassification has impacted the legal status of cannabis seeds. The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has acknowledged that cannabis seeds are considered legal under federal law as they fall under the definition of hemp due to their low THC content. This means, technically, they are not a controlled substance and can be legally possessed and potentially shipped across state lines.
